Dee Joy Coulter, Ed.D. is a nationally-recognized neuroscience educator, known for her unique ability to present complex ideas in clear and humorous ways that are useful for parents and educators. She holds a doctorate in neurological studies and holistic education and for the past 25 years has been applying brain research to education issues in workshops, college courses and her writings.
Dee taught for 20 years at Naropa University in Boulder.
She was a founding board member at Shining Mountain Waldorf School, from which her son graduated. Dee is an adjunct faculty for the remedial program at Sunbridge College in New York.

Her current research interests include how to help children cope with stress and trauma, fostering higher order thinking skills in adolescents, and how we can begin naming and addressing the deeper nature of the child.
